Wisconsin elementary school teacher, Maria Caya, vomited and passed out while on a field trip with her school’s fourth grade students.
According to WISC TV, Caya, who teaches at Washington Elementary School in Janesville, was one of several teachers watching the students on their trip to a bowling alley. She said she had been drinking as early as 6 a.m. and by noon her blood alcohol content reached an alarming 0.27, more than three times Wisconsin’s state legal limit.
Fortunately, Caya did not drive any of the students to the bowling alley, the Associated Press reports. Based on the incident report obtained by The Huffington Post, the teacher’s husband said there were other adults supervising the students on the field trip.
